In 2019, Roughrider made quite the impression when he was campaigned at the N.I.L.E. in Billings, Montana (Reserve Grand Champion Red Angus Bull) and the N.W.S.S. in Denver, Colorado (Division II Bull Calf Champion). This Kargo son out of our favorite donor, Baneberry 238R, had been a standout since early days. The darkest of red, he could strike your attention from a few hundred feet away. Loaded with meat and muscle, this smooth made, incredibly attractive herd bull convinced us that he had what it takes in order to push the Red Angus breed forward. Selling in our 2020 Annual Bull Sale, he commanded $10,000 for Half Interest selling to Nick & Elizabeth Pope of New Jersey, to help lead their new operation in producing the best Red Angus available.
