In the spring of 2020, a bull from Endicott, Washington peaked our interest; recognizing he could serve as a pivotal piece in our efforts to marry a functional, problem free phenotype with breed leading EPDs. “Bucket List” is true curve-bender. A low birth-weight bull that we used on our replacement heifers his first season, he also ranks in the Top 1% of the breed for Weaning Weight & Yearling Weight. A bull with carcass as well, he ratio’d a staggering 141 among his contemporaries for Marbling, while still being in the Top 10% for Ribeye Area. Not only is Bucket List a true breed leader on paper, but his phenotype matches his uniqueness. A moderate framed, big bodied bull that has exceeded our expectations with maturity, he is as correctly aligned in the angles to his structure as any bull in our battery. Furthermore, Bucket List is also a source of outcross genetics when compared to the breed as a whole. We look forward to his first set of calves that will hit the ground in the spring of 2021.
